Population Connection

Population Connection (formerly Zero Population Growth) is a national non-profit organization working to slow population growth and achieve a sustainable balance between the earth's people and its resources. In 2001, The V. Kann Rasmussen Foundation provided funding in support of the organization's Teachers' Population Education Training (PET) project. The Teachers' PET project facilitates population education workshops for teachers as well as undergraduate and graduate students. Workshop participants learn to use creative, hands-on curricula to teach children in grades K-12 about the relationships between population growth, the environment and quality of life.
