The Foundation has funded organizations that seek to empower all people to participate in environmental decisionmaking and citizenship, so that people at the grassroots level can make their own informed decisions on environmental issues.

We also seek to encourage increased student involvement in environmental issues, and have funded several efforts to give them a voice. We have also supported organizations that seek to strengthen small grassroots organizations that seek to enhance public participation.

We are also funding organizations that work outside the United States, particularly with innovative models in developing countries.
