Wildlife Trust and the Wildlife Trust Alliance

Founded in 1971, the Wildlife Trust is an international wildlife conservation organization that works worldwide to save biodiversity, improve ecological health, and conserve and restore species faced with extinction. Wildlife Trust is unique among conservation organization in its focus on crowded landscapes and seascapes where biodiversity is at risk because of habitat loss, disrupted ecosystems, and other environmental changes.

Wildlife Trust has organized the Wildlife Trust Alliance, which utilizes innovative conservation science to empower lasting local conservation in key regions. Wildlife Trust has also pioneered the practice of conservation medicine, and organized the Consortium for Conservation Medicine and helped found the Center for Environmental Research and Conservation, both described separately on this website.

Support from the V. Kann Rasmussen Foundation enables Wildlife Trust to maintain and expand the projects within its conservation medicine program, and to strengthen the Wildlife Trust Alliance with its partners around the world.
